February Artist Talk with Tom Palazzolo: Capturing Chicago's Grit and Soul

  • Chicago Center for Photojournalism 1226 West Wilson Avenue Chicago, IL, 60640 United States (map)

Join us on Sunday, February 2, 2025, from 1–3 PM for an artist talk with Tom Palazzolo, an iconic figure in Chicago’s art and film scene. Known for his Chicago-centric documentary films, photography, and painting, Palazzolo will discuss his books Clark Street and Hand Painted, offering a window into the city’s working-class history and urban landscapes from the 1960s onward. The event will also feature a screening of one of his short films. Don’t miss this chance to hear from an 88-year-old visionary whose work captures the grit, humor, and humanity of Chicago.

Hand Painted by Tom Palazzolo just got published and NewCityArt did a review.
