"IN POLITICS: Conventions and Campaigns" features the compelling work of Brendan Bullock, Nima Taradji, and Denise Keim

Chronicles of power and persuasion - the last eight years of U.S. presidential elections, seen through the lenses of three distinct photographers. Each artist brings their unique perspective to the political landscape, capturing the essence of conventions and campaigns from 2016 to 2024.

Together, these photographers present a rich and layered narrative of U.S. presidential elections showcasing the interplay between spectacle and strategy, public and private moments, and the diverse voices that shape the American political landscape.

Brendan Bullock
With 20 years of photography experience, Brendan Bullock’s expertise spans long-form documentary work, editorial projects, fine art printing with historic processes, portraiture, and wedding photojournalism. Based in Bowdoinham, Maine, Brendan’s decade-long involvement in fine art galleries, surrounded by paintings and works on paper, has deeply influenced his photographic pursuits. His clients include The New York Times, Harper’s Magazine, Virginia Quarterly Review, Yankee Magazine, Maine Magazine, Maine Home and Design Magazine, Preservation Magazine, and Pfizer.

Nima Taradji
Nima Taradji, an Iranian-American editorial and documentary photographer based in Chicago, captures cultural, social, and political themes through his lens. Driven by a lifelong passion for visual storytelling, Nima left his career as an attorney in 2015 to focus entirely on photography. His work aims to document the diverse human experience, creating compelling narratives. Nima’s clients include Madame Figaro Magazine, DoorDash, Chicago Sun Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The New York Times - Lens, Public Radio International - Global Nation, CNN, CBS Chicago, ABC News, Time, Obama Foundation, Der Spiegel, L'Express Magazine, and Interview Magazine. He is also a proud member and co-founder of Argo Collective.

Denise Keim

Denise Keim is a seasoned social documentary photographer with a remarkable 33-year journey delving into the human experience through captivating portraiture. In the realm of higher education, she devoted 15 enriching years as a photography professor, intertwining her love for the art with community arts education.

Keim made her mark as a freelance photographer in the bustling cities of New York and Chicago, gracing major publications with her insightful work. Her photographs have not only been published in numerous books and periodicals but have also found a global stage through exhibitions across the United States and beyond.
