The DNC Experience: What a Ride!

This summer marks a momentous chapter in our journey as a grassroots photojournalism hub. We have received the honor of a lifetime—being invited to photograph the Democratic National Convention (DNC) here in Chicago from August 19–22. With press passes granting us full access, we participated in this historic event providing a unique perspective on the political process. Shoutout to our amazing students for absolutely crushing it at the Democratic National Convention - Andres Chavez, Ronit Bezalel, Nina Kavin, Mark Lukas and Shawna Matten. They dove into the energy and spectacle of the event—capturing the action inside the arena and out in the streets. The stories they captured through their lenses are nothing short of extraordinary.
